This event took place around 7:00 p.m. in the main square of the city, located right in front of the municipal presidency on Miguel Hidalgo street. In a family ambiance, people of all ages, from children to the elderly, enjoyed this festival from the benches in the plaza as well as from other angles or simply sitting on the sidewalk.

This event had a good response thanks to social networks since our mayor shared the flyer in which he talked about this festivity and mentioned that November 2 "is a day in which homage and thanks are paid to those who departed from this world".

The event began with an artistic demonstration by the dance group from the Culture House of Linares. The dancers, wearing typical costumes and makeup alluding to the day of the dead, danced songs like "La llorona", which is a traditional Mexican song that became popular at the time of the Mexican Revolution and tells a story of love and pain, and which is widely heard in this commemoration.

After that, an award ceremony was held for the basic level schools that were distinguished by the altar of the dead they made.

There was much joy on the part of the children and educational staff who attended the festival. To continue with the festivity, a group of young people played batucada, a musical expression that consists of a group of percussion instruments.

To the rhythm of this music, these young people presented large illuminated alebrijes that gave more color and joy to the celebration. Children, youth and adults from all over Linares honored the lives of those who are no longer here, dancing, singing and laughing.
