What is the difference between a playscript and a book?

Answer.

In ordinary narrativr, the narrative and dialogue tell readers what characters are doing or feeling.

In a playscript, the dialogue gives some information but the rest is provided by stage directions which say what characrers are doing ( eg entering or leaving the stage and how they are feeling and expressing themselves ( sobbing, panting )
