We are all blessed in the eyes of God when we listen to his Word. God is always searching for us even though we are sinful. He is always waiting for us to return to Him and to embrace us back as His children.

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus teaches his disciples the lesson on "blessedness". Eight blessings in the Gospel of Matthew and Four blessings in the Gospel of Luke.

Beatitude Meaning
The word beatitude comes from the Latin beatitudo, meaning "blessedness."
The phrase "blessed are" in each beatitude implies a current state of happiness or well-being.

The synoptic gospels each contain Jesus’ teaching of the parable of the sower (Matthew 13:1-9; Mark 4:1-9; Luke 8: 4-8)
