Complete Sentences and Fragments

Complete sentences are complete thoughts

*Who or what the sentence is about and what they did.

A complete sentences must always start with a capital letter and end with correct punctuation. This includes periods, question marks or exclamation marks .

Complete Sentence

• has a subject and a predicate

• has a punctuation mark that ends the sentence (period, exclamation mark, question mark)

• expresses a complete thought

• missing the subject or predicate
