Values from a Replacement Set

A replacement set is a list of choices.

It looks like this: {2, 3, 4, 5}

If it asks for a value, that means only one answer.

If it says which values, that means there is more than one answer.

Try each choice!

Solve Equations

To solve equations, isolate the variable. That means you want the variable to be on one side of the equation and everything else to be on the other side. To do this, you want to do the opposite (or inverse) operation to both sides. If you want to get rid of the +5, then you need -5 to both sides of the equation.
You can also write all the related equations and use the equation that isolates the variable.
