1.Ser is one of our two main description words. It means am, is, or are.

2. We use ser like we do in English: He is tall, she is athletic, I am blonde, etc.

3. We have to pay attention to whether the person we are describing is male of female. Adjectives that end with o or a change to match the person you are describing: El es alto. Ella es alta.

4. All adjectives change to match whether you are describing one person or more than one person: La mujer is fuerte. Las mujeres son fuertes.

To make nouns or adjectives plural, just add s if the word ends with a vowel, and es if it ends with a consonant.

El perro es viejo. Los perros son viejos.

La mujer es joven. Las mujeres son jovenes.
