  • Ruth is a picture of how the Gentiles were attracted to the God of  Israel as God promised would happen.

  • Ruth’s time gathering in the field reflects the time we were once without hope in this world.

Naomi-a Picture of the Jews (God's Chosen People)

  • Naomi is a picture of how the Jews were left without hope.

  • Throughout the thousands of years the people of Israel were scattered around the globe, they never ceased to maintain their identity. NO other people group are like that.

  • In 1948, the Jews began returning to Israel.

  • In the book of Ruth, Naomi returned to Bethlehem.

  • Boaz is the hero, the one who rescues both Naomi and Ruth from their circumstances.

  • Jesus is the One who will rescue us.

  • Boaz told the reapers to leave enough grain for Ruth.

  • Jesus died on the cross for us to live with him in Heaven.
