Common modifiers are adjectives (which describe nouns) and adverbs (which describe verbs)

Since adjectives describe nouns/pronouns, you will see a connection between the adjective word to the noun/pronoun word.
Examples:
The students are working on a creative project.
My classroom is messy because of their work.
