​Present Continuous Tense

​Tense ini digunakan untuk menceritakan kejadian atau sesuatu yang sedang berlangsung. Seperti halnya dengan yang lain, kalimat present continuous tense ini bisa dibagi menjadi 3 yakni positive, negative, dan interrogative.

​S + to be (am/is/are) + V-ing

​(+) S + to be (am/is/are) + V-ing

• Budi is cleaning the whiteboard (Budi sedang membersihkan papan tulis)

• I am drinking a glass of tea (Saya sedang meminum segelas teh)

• They are singing loudly (Mereka sedang bernyanyi keras)

​(-) Subject + to be (am/is/are) + not + V-ing

• He is not kicking the ball ( dia tidak sedang menendang bola)

• Ani and Santi are reading the comics (Ani dan Santi sedang membaca komik)

• I am not sitting on the blue chair (saya tidak sedang duduk di kursi biru)

• Are you watching TV? (Apakah kamu sedang melihat TV?)
