Formula Equation:

Balanced Equation:

Example: Haber-Bosch process (Ammonia Synthesis)

Haber-Bosch process developed by Fritz Haber and Carl Bosch in 1918, the process used
both high temperatures and high pressures and an iron catalyst to produce a large
amount of ammonia from gaseous hydrogen and nitrogen. Ammonia fertilizers feed the
world. Today, ammonia is the second most produced chemical by tonnage, after only
sulfuric acid

PBS Beyond the Elements Reactions (15 – 24min) https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/video/beyond-the-elements-reactions/
