1 mile=5,280 feet
1 mile=1,760 yards

When you convert measurements, you find the same measurement in different unit.
So...

From Mile to Yards you need to multiply times 1,760
From yards to foot multiply times 3
From foot to inches multiply times 12
And if you are going backwards just divide by the same references
From inches to foot divided by 12
From foot to yards divided by 3
From yards to mile divided by 1.760
