Saudi Arabian Volcanoes

Saudi Arabia has so many volcanoes due to the local plate tectonics.

As an area, it is extremely mountainous with some peaks reaching 2000m above sea level. It also has its own tectonic plate (Arabian peninsula), however the Red Sea is lifting northwards by almost 16mm per year.

Although they have remained dormant for many years, some of they do still remain active.
