​POINT SOURCE:

A specific identifiable pollution source. a. Example: industrial emissions, sewer that drains untreated water into a river.

NONPOINT SOURCE:

​A colorless, odorless gas that is radioactive. It forms underground from the decay of certain rocks.

Radon:

include allergens (pet hair, dust, mold) or indoor gasses (radon and carbon monoxide)

Indoor pollutants

high in the atmosphere protects Earth’s surface from harmful UV rays, but near Earth’s surface, it is a pollutant.

Ozone

are given off by factories and vehicles as products of burning fossil fuels. These gases rise into the atmosphere. These oxides combine with the water in the clouds to form sulfuric and nitric acids. The acid precipitation falls to Earth as precipitation, such as snow or rain.
