YOGO Verbs

• Some verbs have a present tense yo conjugation that is irregular.

• One pattern of these conjugations are verbs where the yo form of the verb ends in -go. So we call them YOGO verbs!

• There are no -ar verbs that follow this pattern, only some -er and -ir verbs.

• The other forms of these verbs follow the patterns for regular -er and -ir verbs.

List of YOGO Verbs

Yo hago mi tarea.

Tú haces tu tarea.

Nosotros hacemos nuestra tarea.

Yo salgo con mis amigos.

Ella sale con sus amigos.

Uds. salen con sus amigos.

hacer yo hago

poner yo pongo

salir yo salgo

traer yo traigo

This verb is just barely irregular, since it has accent marks in its conjugation.
