The Home Tab

Gives the address of a cell based on its relative position in the worksheet.
Example-A1, B1, C1

Relative Cell Reference

• Point to a specific cell in a worksheet

• Remains constant throughout the worksheet.

• Includes dollar signs in the reference name. −$A$1

Absolute Cell Reference

​Contains both relative and absolute references.
the $ sign specifies the constant row or column.
Example $A1-the column A is absolute and row 1 is relative
Example A$1-Column A is relative and Row 1 is absolute

Mixed Cell Reference

​The range of cells selected here are:
A1:B6

The range of cells selected here are:
A1:A2, A4, A6,B8,B10,B12.
