The book night is a personal diary of author Elie Wiesel on his experience of the holocaust. Elie was only a child when he was taken away from his home and brought to a concentration camp only to never see his ever again. The book follows him on his journey as he lives his days in Auschwitz working in terrible conditions, getting beaten, and watching hundreds of lives end

the holocaust was the mass genocide of European Jews where Nazi Germany and its collaborators systematically murdered millions of Jews in German occupied Europe.

This book made me open my eyes to all the things that people were going through. I knew that it was awful but this just really made me see the importance of not letting history repeat itself overall.
