We use the present simple to express ideas that are true and to talk about routines.

How to form a sentence in present simple:
Subject + verb in present simple + object.

The main verb stays in its base form.

How to conjugate a verb
in present simple.
If the subject is replaceable with he/she/it...
You add -s, -es, -ies to the main verb.
He/she/it loves McDonald's.

-s, -es, or -ies?
Add -s to most of the verbs.
play - plays / work - works / listen - listens.
Add -es to verbs that end in: -ch, -s, -sh, -x, -o, -z.
watch - watches / pass - passes / finish - finishes / mix - mixes / go - goes / buzz - buzzes.
Add -ies to verbs that end in a consonant + y by replacing the "y" with the "i".
study - studies / fly - flies.
