  • Get a good night's rest; DON'T CRAM

  • Eat a healthy breakfast

  • Take some time to meditate and relax your mind

  • Take a deep breath and relax your mind

  • Listen to the directions from your teacher very carefully

  • When the teacher says you can begin:

    • Skim the reference sheet before you answer any question

    • Complete a brain dump

      • Write down any formulas or information you need to know

      • You can use the 'Sticky Note' option

  • PACE YOURSELF

    • Skip the questions that you do not know right away and come back to them later

    • Remember how long you have for each question on average

      • About 90 seconds for 1 point questions

      • About 5 minutes for 2 point questions

The Algebra 1 EOC Test Blueprint

  • You have 2 sections of the test and are given 65 minutes for each of those sections

  • This works out to about 2 minutes and 21 seconds on average per question, however you should take about 90 seconds per 1 point question on average and about 5 minutes on average per 2-point question
