Definition:

Composite Figure: A composite figure is a combination of two or more shapes. When asked to find the area of the composite figure, you must find the area of all of the shapes and add them together.

Surface Area: The surface area of a 3-D object is the area of all of the figures on the outside of the object. Find the area of all of the shapes separaletly and add them together.

Volume: The volume of a 3-D object is how much space is inside of the object. To find the volume, you will multiply the area of the base times the height.
