Parakeets lay eggs when they are adults. Their eyes have a white ring when they are all grown up. There can be up to 5 clutches in a single breeding season in captivity. However, in the wild, parakeets lay only 2 to 3 clutches in a season. On average, in each clutch, there will be around 4 to 8 eggs.

​Parakeets can be yellow green, blue, white, green yellow, white blue, teal white, teal and yellow or golden.

Budgies come in different colors

​Budgies can either be female or male. Female's cere's color changes from light pink or white to brown. Male's cere's color changes from pink to blue.
