就 Jiù

"As soon as"

Example:

我吃了饭就睡觉

Wǒ chīle fàn jiù shuìjiào

I sleep as soon as I ate

​“了” usually placed after the first verb.

(adv) 好 + Adj

"Easy to..."

Example:

这个汉字很好记

Zhège hànzì hěn hǎo jì

This Chinese character is very easy to remember.

v + 着

Shows Existence -- There is/are

Example:

墙上挂着一幅中国字画

Qiáng shàng guàzhe yī fú zhōngguó zìhuà

There is a Chinese drawing on the wall.

​Notes：

• Don't use 在 / 从 before subject.

adj + adj + 的

​To emphasize the adjective

Example:

妈妈买了一朵红红的花

Māmā mǎile yī duǒ hóng hóng dì huā

Mom buys a red flower.

Notes:​

Monosyllabic Words （AA)

红 --> 红红

Disyllabic Words (AABB)

开心 --> 开开心心

adj + adj + 地

​To emphasize the adjective （followed by a v)

Example:

妹妹开开心心地吃了

Mèimei kāi kāixīn xīn dì chīle

Little sister eat happily.

把 + o + adj + adj

​To emphasize the verb

Example:

请你把衣服洗洗

Qǐng nǐ bǎ yīfú xǐ xǐ

Please wash your clothes

当然 Dāngrán

表示肯定 To show certainty

Example:

我当然要认认真真地学汉语
