Letter VS. Essay
is the introduction different?
how to differentiate?
The main difference between an essay and a friendly letter is the intended audience and purpose. An essay is written for a broad audience and has a more formal tone, while a friendly letter is written to a single individual or group of individuals and has a more personal tone. The essay's objective is to persuade the reader to adopt the writer's point of view.
The introduction is the first paragraph of an essay, introducing the topic and setting the tone for the rest of the work. It should identify the issue, give the necessary information, and suggest the main point of focus. In a friendly letter, the opening should be cheerful and welcoming, setting the tone for the rest of the letter.
