32. 1st Grade SRR: Fun Kid Jobs

I fix up my bed. Tug, tug. Tuck it in. Pat, pat. Not bad, Matt! Not bad at all!

Mom sells eggs. “Run down the hill. Get the eggs. Quick, quick!”

Red hens run as I dig. Yes, eggs! I get the eggs. I pick up six eggs, six big tan eggs!

Quill is my fat red hen. Quill sits on her eggs. I get four eggs from Quill. Quick! Mad hens can peck!

I went back up the hill. “Mom! Ten eggs!” I yell. “Ten big eggs!” said Mom. “Well, well, Matt!”

Cats, kits, and dogs get fed. Dogs wag. Cats hiss! I fill up pans. It is a wet job!
