44. 1st Grade SRR: Foxes

You can call little foxes kits, pups, and cubs. Let us call them cubs. Fox cubs nap in dens. When the sun is up, fox cubs will get up.

Fox cubs can run. Cubs can hop. Cubs can jump. Cubs yip and nip. The jumps, hops, and nips get cubs set as they get big.

Cubs can find bugs in logs and in thick patches of moss. Cubs catch bugs. Yum, yum! Bugs! Fox cubs eat them up. Cubs will get big.

Mom Fox hops on a rat. Mom Fox got it! The cubs can not miss that! Mom Fox lets them see the right way to catch rats.

Dad Fox picks up his cubs. Why? Dad Fox is quick to lug them back to the den. Big foxes can do that job well. The fox cubs will as well.

Mom Fox licks mud messes off cubs. Say, Mom Fox, that is a lot of licks! Big foxes can do that job well. The fox cubs will as well.
