​What is Voice?

​Ans. The voice is the form of verb which indicates whether a person or thing does something, or whether something has been done to a person or thing.

When the subject is the doer of an action, the form of the verb is said to be active voice.

​​Active Voice

​When the subject is the reciever of an action, the form of the verb is said to be in passive voice

Passive Voice

Examples-

Mango is eaten by Rahul

Mangoes are eaten by Rahul

Rule- Object+is/am/are+being+V3+by+Subject

Passive voice

Rahul eats Mango

Rahul eats Mangoes

Rule- Subject+Verb+Object

Active Voice

Changing Active to Passive

• Subject of active voice becomes object

• Verb according to tense change; Be + Past Participle

• By+agent

​Changing Passive to Active
