Once there was a young girl
who wanted to be an
astronaut . She thought to
herself , ‘’if I had a rocket
shop, I would fly to the
moon.’’ she knew that if
she did have a rocket ship,
it would be an amazing
adventure.

1- what would you do if you could fly?

3- what would you do if you could travel anywhere in
the world?

Now , from the story,

If clause + the past
tense

Main clause + modal (would)

We use the second conditional to talk about a situation we
see as improbable or unreal.

When if clause is followed by the past tense and the main clause
uses the modal would then we call it second conditional
