How do you learn math best?

• Practice problems by following examples

• Work with classmates to analyze problems

• Watch someone do a problem and try a problem on your own

• Work through a problem by yourself based on past knowledge

​Flipped Classroom

​In Algebra 2 we will be using software to Flip the Classroom this year.

Students will be responsible for watching a 15-25 minute video at home and taking notes in the note packet.
It may be necessary to pause the video and possibly rewind so that students fully understand the material presented in the video.

In class we will be doing problems and activities to reinforce the material from the video.

​Grades

​Tests and Quizzes - Tests, worth 100 points each, will be given at the end of each unit. Quizzes, worth between 10 and 50 points, will be given between tests.

Classwork - Classwork completed each day will be collected at the end of the unit and given a completion grade.

Edpuzzle Video and Questions - Daily video assignments will earn a grade for completion and questions correctly completed.

​Classroom Procedures

​Students must come to class prepared with graphing calculator, pen, binder and note packet.

Edpuzzle Videos must be watched at home and completed before class begins.

As you enter the classroom, you are responsible for taking out your Note packet and Classwork packet as well as other supplies to be ready for class to begin.

Be an active participant! Arrive to class on time!

​Extra Help

​Students should attend Activity period for extra help.

Please come when you are having trouble with classwork or if you have questions about material in the video or questions before a test or quiz.

I am also available some days after school.
