The nucleus holds the cell's genetic information- the coding known as DNA. This coding is what determines if we will have brown hair or curly hair or will be tall or short. It also helps cells reproduce.
The nucleus is the cell's control center. It controls and directs all of the activities of the cell.

What do you think would happen to a cell if it did not have a nucleus?

Nothing, the nucleus is not important.

The cell would die immediately, since it is the brain of the cell.

The cell would grow a new nucleus.
