​NHD and Finance Park

NHD= National History Day project all 8th graders complete and can progress to County, State, and Nationals1

This year's theme is Turning Points in History. We will work on them every Friday in class to learn the many parts of the project and a lot of it will be completed as Homework.

Finance Park is a field trip and curriculum for all 8th graders to learn about budgeting, credit debit, taxes, savings, etc. We are going OCtober 3rd and the cost is $3

​I Allow corrections on work and test retakes.

I WANT students to succeed, learn everything and get an A – if they don’t do that the first time on any assignment, corrections are allowed to be made to show they have learned from their mistakes.

A reduced amount of points can be earned back.

Tests cannot be corrected the same way as class work. The whole test needs to be retaken (in class). Student needs to review what they got wrong so they know they will improve the 2nd time. The new score will be the average of both tests.
