Pick a good spot to plant your tree.
It will need space to grow.
Find tools you will need.
You are almost ready!

Look at your tree’s roots.
Dig a hole that its roots will fit in.
The hole must be just as deep
and twice as wide.
Use tools that will help you dig.

Check that the tree’s roots are loose.
They cannot be too packed.
Then, place the tree in the hole.

Fill in the hole so that soil covers
the roots.
Scoop it in, and then pack it down.

Next, soak your tree with water.
Keep checking on your new tree
for a few weeks.
Check that its soil stays damp.

It will take time, but that little tree
will grow. Soon, you will see
your work pay off!
