What is Figurative Language?

• Figures of speech that can be words or phrases that mean something different than the words might indicate.

• There are A LOT Of different examples of Figurative Language!

Alliteration

• Not EVERY word needs to have the same letter or sound but the majority of the words should.

• Can you create an example of Alliteration?

• Mean something different than the words in the phrase might indicate.
