• A code is a set of instructions or guidelines

• A computer code is a set of instructions, that the computer follows in order to perform a specifi task

• Computers understand the language of code, the way humans understand English,Kiswahili or mother toungue

• Coding is the process of creating a set of instructions

• If the codes are clear, the computer works as expected.

• If the instructions are unclear the computer may not work as expected

• Codes are created as patterns

To write a programme, they use programming applications such as Scratch.
