Present tense

PRESENT TENSE

​We used present simple to talk about a fact(true)
Form: S + V0 + (not) + O
Ex: I am tall.
We used present continuos to talk about ongoing actions(happening right now)
Form: S + V(to be) + (not) + Ving + O
Ex: I am talking to him right now.
We used present perfect to talk about action happened in the past and still continue in the present
Form : S + have/has + (not) + Vpp (V3)
Ex: I have lived here for 10 years.
We used present perfect continous to talk about action that happened in the past and continue in the present
Form : S + have/has + (not) +been + Ving + O
Ex: I have been living here for 10 years

​Differences between Present perfect and Present perfect continuos

​*PP dùng để chỉ hành động xảy ra ở quá khứ và kết thúc rồi ở tương lai, tập trung vào kết quả của hành động đó
*PPC dùng để chỉ hành động xảy ra ở quá khứ nhưng tương lai vẫn tiếp tục diễn ra, tập trung vào quá trình của hành động đó
Trong một số trường hợp có thể dùng cả hai thì để cùng diễn tả 1 hành động (xem Exs), phân biệt tùy vào ngữ cảnh
