What is Characterization?
-the way in which the writer reveals the personality of a character
This is revealed in two ways:
Direct characterization: when the writer specifically TELLS you something about the character's personality
Indirect characterization: when the writer SHOWS you things that reveal the character's personality

As we watch the clip, write in your notebook some characteristics of the characters shown and if they are indirect or direct.

Open Ended
With your group members, decide on a movie, tv show, or book. Once your decision has been made, give some characteristics of the protagonist and antagonist.
