▪ Subject pronouns are the pronouns that replace a name or noun as the subject of a sentence.
▪ Mrs. Jackson is my teacher.
▪ SHE is my teacher.
▪ Mary and Nancy are going to the movies.
▪ THEY are going to the movies.

Remember: Gustar means to be pleasing, so the subject is the object or activity that is pleasing, not the person it pleases.
Me gusta correr = Running is pleasing to me.

Remember that in the 2nd person, Spanish has both formal and informal forms.
Informal: friends, family, first names
Formal: Mr./Mrs., respect

While subject pronouns can be used to replace a person's name, many native speakers of Spanish rarely use them at all. This is because Spanish verb endings tell you who the subject is.
Important Usage Note:

We will be learning them in order to make sure we use correct subject-verb agreement, but do not feel like you must always use them like we do in English!
