Africa

​Africa is the second largest continent in terms of area after the continent of Asia.

It constitutes an area of about 21% of the land area. Algeria is the largest country in the continent, followed by the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Indeed, there are many countries with an area of more than one million kilometers, such as Sudan, Libya and Egypt.

Where is Africa?

​Africa is located to the south of the continent of Europe and to the south - west of the continent of Asia.

It is boarded by the Mediterranean to the north, and by the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean to the east, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, on the south by the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean.

African island Countries

​In the continent of Africa, there are number of island countries most

importantly, the island of Madagascar, which is one of the largest islands in the world.

The African island countries are Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Seychelles in the Indian Ocean, and Cape Verde in the Atlantic Ocean.
