Ceasar Chavez

Cesar Chavez was an american labor leader and civil rights activist who co-founded the united farm workers union. he was born on March 31, 1927 in Yuma. Arizona. Cesar was one of six children in a Mexican-American family. His family moved to California to become migrant farm workers. His family picked peas and lettuce in the winter, cherries and beans in the spring, corn and grapes in the summer and cotton in the fall. Cesar Chavez quit school in the seventh grade to work in the fields full-time. Cesar Chavez worked hard to support workers rights, organizing strikes and boycotts to protest for higher worker wages.
