HOW TO UPLOAD PHOTOS

Create a folder in your Google Drive titled "Photos"

If you are using an iMac, you can also put your folder on the desktop for easy access.

BEFORE WE GET STARTED

STEP 1

Import photos from SD card to computer

  • Plug the SD card into the computer using the SD card reader.

  • Once plugged in, it will show up on the desktop as "EOS_Digital"

  • Open the SD card to view your photos

  • Click and drag your photos into your "Photos" folder

EJECT the SD card from the computer.

Use the eject button EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

WHEN THE TRANSFER IS COMPLETE

Format the SD card

Get the SD card ready for the next use by formatting the card and deleting all of the photos.

Turn in the SD card reader and other equipment when finished.

To stay organized, prevent confusion, and be prepared.

  • Hold "control" on the keyboard and click one of the photos

  • From the menu, select "Rename"

  • Follow the format on the next slide to rename your photos.

  1. In the box on the left labeled "Find" you will type in "IMG_"


  2. In the box on the right labeled "Replace with" you will use the format to enter the new file name.

Now that your photos are properly named and organized, you can put them into the appropriate folders in the Yearbook server.

At the top of the screen, click "Go" and then select "Connect to server" at the bottom of the dropdown menu.

Press "Go"

Navigate to the 2023-2024 photo folders inside the server.

Add your photos to the server by creating a folder for the event that you covered.
Simply find the appropriate category and create a new folder.
