There are many different types of habitats, or places where plants
and animals live. Some animals live in the ocean. There are a lot of
plants in a rain forest. Some habitats are very warm, while
others can be very cold. Some can be very wet, like an ocean or a
river, but some habitats can be very dry, like a desert.

A desert is a place that does not get a lot of rain. Deserts are

a type of plant that live in the desert. They store water in
their stems and have sharp needles covering them so
animals don’t take their water. Most plants grow far apart from
each other so that they do not have to share water.
