What is SBAC?

SBAC refers to the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium test.
This test covers ELA and Math. It is given in grades 3-8 and 11, usually at the end of the school year. The SBAC is given in multiple states throughout the country.

What is CAASPP?

CAASPP refers to the California Assessment of Student Performance & Progress system.

Think of it as the California version of the SBAC test. So when we say SBAC or CAASPP in school, we are basically talking about the same thing.

  • Your results help your teachers figure out how they can support your learning in class.

  • Your scores can help determine what classes you take next year (for example, Honors or Support classes).

  • The test results keep your family informed of your progress in ELA and Math.

How to find your SBAC Scores

  1. Go to PowerSchool - Student from ClassLink.

  2. Once you sign in, click on Score Reports on the left side of the screen.

  3. Next, choose CAASPP and the year 2022-2023 from the drop down menus. Click Get Report.

  4. Click on the word View next to English or Spanish to see your score report.
