●Facts about the college of pharmacy are great, but if talking to high school students, giving fun facts
about the undergrad side of campus could encourage them to choose Iowa for undergrad and try the
assured admissions program

How to talk about the LGBTQ+ Community?

●Iowa is making it harder for high school students to be out and proud

●Take all of their concerns seriously and if you don’t know, tell them that and try to connect them with
someone

●The College of Pharmacy is a very accepting location and stands by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy and
their fight for different treatments towards members of the LGBTQ+ Community

●Faculty members and OPE take intolerance very seriously and are always willing to meet with students
to ensure that the College of Pharmacy stays a safe zone for EVERYONE

●The Pride Alliance Center is less than a 5 min walk from the College of Pharmacy
