Travelling

Travelling is a basic part of human life. People travel for different reasons. Some people travel every day to work or school or do some shopping. These people commute by using public transport, their car, a bike or go on foot. Another reason for travelling is to go on a holiday - to relax and have fun. Popular choices are beaches, forests and tropical countries ski resorts, snowy mountains, spas, islands and so on. The third reason for travelling is to learn or experience something new. People may travel to try the local food (cuisine), learn about a country´s customs, traditions and festivities, about its history, learn a new language or meet people from a different culture.

There are many ways to reach a destination. We can travel in the air by planes and helicopters, on the water by ships, boats, ferries, cruisers and on the ground by cars, busses/coaches, trains, underground, trams, bikes, motorbikes or on foot.
