When a division problem has a decimal in
the dividend, follow these steps:

Move the decimal straight up onto the division box.
3.
Ignore the decimal.
4.

Dividing Decimals
When a division problem has a decimal in
the divisor, follow these steps:

Move the decimal to the right to create a whole number.
3.
Move the decimal in the dividend the
same number of places to the right.
4.
Move the decimal up, ignore the
decimal, and divide normally.
