Significance: women and minority groups will not
be looked down upon anymore as weak and
invisible in the movie industry.
Stereotypes: Asian women have to contend with
historical pressure to make themselves small;
women are expected to be demure and diminutive.
Asian women can’t speak English.
Fighting stereotypes: Women should use their own
voices to speak out and challenge stereotypes.

■Public awareness - Break the mindset that women are tend to be weaker
ones.
■Company - Give employment and promotion opportunities to female
employees regardless of whether they are get married or not.
■Government - Public institutions should set an example to private
companies, that is , giving the equal opportunities to male and female
for working as civil servants.
Think about more measures to break the stereotypes on women
after class!
