(หลักการเติม -ed)

หลักการเติม -ed (Regular Verb)

เป็นคำกริยาในรูปแบบปกติ (Regular Verb)
คือ กริยาที่ไม่ต้องเปลี่ยนรูป ก็สามารถเปลี่ยน
เป็นช่อง 2 ด้วยการเติม -ed มี 6 ลักษณะดังนี้

หลักการเติม -ed

1. กริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย e หรือ ie ให้เติม d ได้เลย

 เช่น

dance ➜ danced (เต้น)

move ➜ moved (ย้าย)

close ➜ closed (ปิด)

หลักการเติม -ed

2. กริยาที่ลงท้าย ด้วย y และหน้า y เป็นพยัญชนะ
ให้เปลี่ยน y เป็น i แล้วเติม ed

 เช่น

deny ➜ denied (ปฏิเสธ)

try ➜ tried (พยายาม)

apply ➜ applied (ยื่นสมัคร)

หลักการเติม -ed

3.ถ้าหน้า y เป็นสระ ใหเติม ed ได้เลย 

 เช่น

play ➜ played (เล่น)

stay ➜ stayed (พัก , อาศัย)

obey ➜ obeyed (เชื่อฟัง)

หลักการเติม -ed

4. กริยาที่มีพยางค์เดียว ตัวสะกดเดียว ให้เพิ่มตัว
สะกดตัวท้ายอีก 1 ตัว แล้วเติม -ed

 เช่น

drop ➜ dropped (ตก)

prefer ➜ preferred (ชอบมากกว่า)

commit ➜ committed (ตกลง)

หลักการเติม -ed

5. กริยาที่มี 2 พยางค์ แต่ลงเสียงหนักที่พยางค์หลัง
ให้เพิ่มตัวสะกดที่ลงท้ายอีก 1 ตัว แล้วเติม -ed

 

เช่น

admit ➜ admitted (ยอมรับ)

control ➜ controlled (ควบคุม)

occur ➜ occurred (เกิดขึ้น)

6. กริยาที่มี 2 พยางค์ แต่ลงเสียงหนักที่พยางค์หน้า
ไม่ต้องเพิ่มตัวสะกดอีก 1 ตัว แต่เติม -ed ได้เลย

 

เช่น

differ ➜ differed (แตกต่าง)

cover  ➜ covered (ปกปิด)

suffer ➜ suffered (ทนทุกข์)
