Safety signs are positioned in and around the construction site to advise, give guidance and protect the workforce.
These signs are intended to give the operatives, client and visitors a clear message of the expectations in and around the site.
Safety signs are positioned at the start of a contract and are present until the final day of the site’s operations.

The Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations require employers to provide safety signs to raise awareness of risks to health and safety.
There are four types of safety signs in general use. Each has a designated shape and colour.
They make sure that information is given in a standard format with minimum use of words.

Remember the general duty of employees:
cooperate with your employer by observing signs
comply with the law and employer’s safe systems of work
use safety equipment properly and correctly
do not tamper with, deface, or remove safety signs.
