interest; however, writers of memoirs and

novels ofter relate complex stories that

examine universal ideas, events, and

issues.

Generic Structure

Orientation: The orientation contains the

scene and time of the story.

Complication: That explains the beginning

of the event or events.

Resolution: The end of the story.
