Chapter 4 | Lesson 2: Branches of Government

The Legislative Branch

A person chosen to speak for others. Citizens vote to choose these representatives.

Once an idea is written down for the government to decide on, it is called a bill. Before a bill can become a law, both parts of Congress must vote on it and approve it. The bill is then sent to the President to sign.
