MBTI

MBTI or the Myers Briggs Type Indicator is a self-analysing question-based indicator that helps in finding out the psychological inclinations in which people perceive their surroundings and make decisions

​The questionnaire was constructed by Isabel Brigs Myers and her mother Katherine Cook Briggs first in 1944 by the publication of their 'The Briggs Myers Type Indicator Handbook' and was published again in 1956 as 'Myers-Briggs Type Indicator'. The mother & daughter duo were inspired by the book 'Psychological Types' by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung, especially Isabel Myers, as she was fascinated by the concept of introversion, she even typed herself as an 'INFP'. Later on, Myers's work piqued the interest of Henry Chauncey, the head of the Educational Testing Service, an exclusive assessment organisation, under this funding, the first MBTI manual was published in 1962.

And now, in present-day, we have advanced to having online questionnaires that make it so much easier for us to find out our personality type
