Quran and/or dua’(supplications) taught to us by the Messenger of
Allah (pbuh).

made from pearls or bones or any

children or adults, or are hung up in
houses or cars, in order to protect
them - especially from the evil eye –
or to bring some benefits.
From this we come to know that to wear a Tameemah is
Shirk. Because they
think that these things have the power to protect them from
the harm of devils.
Instead, they should pray, read Quran, or make duaa’ to
Allah, asking him for his protection.
(Tamaa’im) Wearing charms
The Prophet (pbuh):
“Whoever wears something [as a charm] is entrusted
to it.

Once, Abdullah Ibn Omar saw a man swearing by
his father, and another man swearing by
Al-Ka’bah, so he told them not to do that. Then
said: I heardProphet Muhammad (pbuh) once
saying:
(Whoever swears by other than Allah has
committed an act of shirk).
Examples include swearing by the father, mother
and Al-ka’bah.
26
Because when you swear with something other
than Allah you intend to glorify him and
Glorification and exaltation are due to Allah Alone.
Why it is forbidden to swear by other than Allah ?
27

than Allah ; Allah has cursed the one who curses his parents;
Allah has cursed the one who protects and shelters
the muhdith; Allah has cursed the one who alters the
land-marks. (Narrated by Muslim
" Say: "Verily, my prayer, my slaughter,
my life and my death are [all] for Allah,
the Lord of the worlds. He has no
partner: This am I commanded, and I
am the first of those who
submit" (Qur'an 6:162-163)
Slaughtering for other than Allah's Sake
That it proves that drawing near to Allah by
slaughtering animals will not be achieved unless
it is done purely and solely for Allah - and to
